Member of the Coordination Committee Raza Haroon has said that the MQM is a peace-loving and democratic political party but our peacefulness should not be considered as our weakness. He condemned the tragic martyrdom of MQM MPA Manzar Imam and said, “We want to tell the terrorists that they cannot keep the MQM and its workers away from their struggle.”

He said this while talking to the journalists and media persons in Lal Qila Ground
 after the funeral of Manzar Imam, along with three security guards his driver and
 two security guards. Other members of the Co-ordination Committee, MNAs,
 MPAs, Senators and office-bearers of various wings of the MQM were also 
present on the occasion.
Mr Haroon said that the martyrdom of Manzar Imam is an act of blatant terrorism.
 We sympathize with the bereaved family members and all those who abhor 
terrorism. “We are in a state of grief but our grief should not be attributed to 
weakness. We love peace but we will never surrender before the forces of 
oppression.”
Mr Haroon thanked President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf,
 Interior Minister Rehman Malik, ANP leader Asfandyar Wali and all those political 
and religious leaders who condemned the assassination of Manzar Imam and 
offered their condolences.
Mr Haroon appealed to President Asif Zardari, PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Interior
 Minister Rehman Malik, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad and Chief Minister 
Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take serious notice of the brutal killing of MQM 
MPA Manzar Imam with his driver and security guards. He said that the killers 
should be arrested and given exemplary punishment.
Mr Hussain said that the state machinery should be mobilized after this tragic
 incident. “People would see as to how soon the killers are arrested and punished
 according to law.”
